A false, or pseudo, love is cursed by all who feel it. Â Pseudo-love is being enticed by a promising kiss only to receive a piercing slap. Â The end was never what the means portrayed.
Pseudo-love is far beyond deceptive – it's the most grievous of emotional offenses.  1 John 4:16 says, "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.  God is love.  Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in Him."
To offer a pseudo-love, a false love, a fake love, a love that is not purely motivated, is to offer a fake god. Â Have you ever met someone that solely befriends others so that they may benefit from the relationship? Â Pesudo-love. Â The love is not pure. Â The love is not a love that exists to want nothing. Â It is self serving. Â It's a pseudo-love. Â A fake love. Â
No person likes to be deceived, least of all in the terms of love, because true love is shown when we have made ourselves completely vulnerable. Â To deceive at the height of vulnerability is to disgrace the love of God. Â
People are not tools to help us accomplish our goals like nails to a hammer. They are living, breathing, thinking aggregates of experience and purpose.  To love falsely, to love because of an agenda, to love for self-glorification, to love for self-gain and not selflessness removes not ourselves, but others from the ability to live in God… to live in love… for pseudo-love can only be lived around.
The reliability of pesudo-love is not reliable at all.  Only veritable love leads to relationships that are not only selfless but recognized for existing IN God… IN love… and isn't that what we all desire?  To be IN love?
